Reports: Stephen Curry Providing Assistance To Promising Player Scoot Henderson

One of the NBA’s best prospects receives shooting instruction from instructors on Stephen Curry’s practice squad in an empty gym on a tiny college that has been vacated for spring break.

The NBA Draft is coming up soon. On Tuesday, the lottery will be held, and the Draft will take place on June 22.

France’s Victor Wembanyama is anticipated to be selected first overall. Scoot Henderson, a highly anticipated player, is predicted to go second overall in this year’s draft.

The Golden State superstar himself does some of the same exercises with Scoot Henderson, including one-footed free throws, catch-and-shoots from the outside, and two dribbles between the legs before launching from the top of the 3-point line.

Henderson’s younger sister, Moochie, is on the other end of the floor at the Laney College arena and has committed to play guard for Georgia State.

Teenagers and the youngest of seven children, the Hendersons have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to work with Curry’s firm, SC30 Inc., and get help and direction as they build their brand both on and off the court.

Before stepping foot on an NBA floor, Henderson is already forming relationships and business transactions. Henderson and NBA great Stephen Curry have reportedly developed a close relationship, according to NBA writer Marc Spears for ESPN.

A “strategic alliance” has been established between the two, and Curry is guiding the young athlete. Curry is reportedly going to tutor Henderson and aid him with his off-court business endeavors.

Henderson, who plays for the G-League Ignite squad, is not a former collegiate basketball player. He was a five-star recruit out of high school and is listed as 6’2″. He played in 10 games with the Ignite, scoring 14.7 points on average.

Longtime coworkers had brought the two together. Curry also devotes a lot of time to charity and works to support local kids. His Eat. Learn. Play. Foundation works to end child hunger, create safe spaces for kids to go after school, and support educational initiatives.

Scoot Henderson stated, “Just getting this early training and knowledge from Steph mentoring me and the people around him, it’s a blessing.” “It’s really cool that I just turned 19 and I’m already learning that information early.”

Late in March, when Scoot and Moochie attended a morning training session with Curry’s trainers at Laney College, they took some time to get to know one another.

What appeals to Curry beyond Henderson’s talent, which makes him one of the most athletic point guards in the 2023 class, is the commitment to community he has demonstrated at home in Marietta, Georgia.
